NTAi’s TEACHING AND LEARNING MODEL
The mission of Network Technology Academy Institute is to train students and help them acquire the technical knowledge and skills necessary to become ‘relevant’ and successful in this ever-changing technological world. Our focus since inception has been to be at the forefront of technology and give our students the greatest opportunity for success. We’ve incorporated research on student learning styles, learning partner resources, and the experience gained from more than 10 years of training IT professionals to build our model for serving our students.
Our teaching methodology is influenced by our F.A.S.T. framework. We live in a fast past world, and it is our responsibility to prepare students for the realities they will face when they complete their training at NTAi.
EXPONENTIAL TECHNOLOGY
In Ray Kurzweil’s essay title “The Law of Accelerating return” he states – “An analysis of the history of technology shows that technological change is exponential, contrary to the common-sense “intuitive linear” view. So we won’t experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century — it will be more like 20,000 years of progress (at today’s rate)”
Accepting this premise as truth we strive to have our graduates remain relevant in the job market for years after they graduate from NTAi. We are not only preparing students for the employment opportunities of today, but the future opportunities that will disrupt the way the world works.
ACCELERATE THROUGH HANDS ON LEARNING
In a world where more than 5 minutes downtime a year is unacceptable our students need to have working experience before they graduate. The technology space doesn’t give I.T. professionals the freedom to make mistakes. Thus, We get our students working with real equipment right away. NTAi hands on labs help students build the confidence necessary to withstand the pressure of keeping an organization’s IT infrastructure running smoothly.
SIMPLIFY COMPLEX PROBLEM THROUGH GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
We can no longer think of competing on a local level, solving problems with a narrow view, or building partnerships with those who are exactly like us. The world is no longer location dependent and with the coming innovation we need our students to be flexible enough to solve problems anywhere in the world.
DEVELOP LOGICAL THINKING
Technology is no longer about the mechanics of setting up equipment. Moving forward it is all about the individual’s ability to understand abstract concepts and apply this specialized knowledge in ways we can currently not predict. The world is changing, and different technologies will come and go; however, the need for people who can learn and think will always be in demand in the marketplace.
